PM Awas yojana is a scheme launched by Our PM Narendra Modi and central government on 25th June 2015 with and intention to provide housing for all urban areas by 2022.

Applicants in credit linked scheme is categorized into 4 based on their income. They are economically weaker section or EWS, Lower income group, Middle income group 1 and middle income group 2. Subsidy will be given by government, on interest of housing loan based on these categories. This subsidy is given upfront as lump sum, which will help to decrease EMI by a big margin.
